VOIP on the go
Authored By Brian
I currently use Vonage as my home/office telephone in addition to my cell phone. It works pretty well so long as you have reliable Internet access. I’ve been wondering how I will stay in touch with my customers and contractors while I’m on the road. Even with a local mobile phone SIM, the international rates would be killer.
I logged into my Vonage account for voice mail and saw a new product, the V-Phone, a VOIP-on-a-USB-stick solution with plug-in mic and headphones. Searching around, it seems there is a similar non-Vonage (Skype/MSN/Google Talk) solution from Mplat too. Sounds perfect for overseas travel.
