It’s not quite here yet, but PostgreSQL 9.0 is about to be released Thursday, September 23rd. Check out the new features and updates. If you’re in the San Francisco area, there is even a party.
Big changes include truly integrated hot standby and streaming replication (without using third party tools) and more than 200 total improvements. We’ve been kind of lagging behind with 8.3 but it looks like it’s time to schedule an upgrade window…
