Went looking to see what the “state of the art” is in ColdFusion message board / forum software today… looks like this was unofficial release week:

  • CFMBB – Version 1.23, Released 8/22
  • Galleon – Version 1.7.013, Released 8/22

I’m interested to see what’s coming from Flexorum. A rich interface could really make message board reading better. Forums are still basically 1998 technology with better icons and more BBCode.

I’m looking for something I can integrate into an existing application. I currently use an older and modified version of Galleon (that leverages my authentication). Anything else out there worth looking at? CFBB looks pretty ancient. Anyone working on a Model-Glue Actionpack forum?
