I bought a motorcycle last Thursday. It’s a 1992 Ninja 500, pretty small, but still fast enough to be scary. I took the motorcycle safety program about a month and a half ago and found a bike reasonably priced on Craigslist for sale.
Traded some emails, negotiated, got a cashier’s check, paid, took delivery.
I’ve ridden it quite a bit over the past 5 days and it’s a great way to get around the city. There is nothing better than literally pulling up in front of where you need to go and finding a parking spot every time.
Today is the first day I rode it to work. What normally is a ~40-45 minute commute from door to door in the morning and 45-60 minutes at night took just 20 minutes this morning. It’s already worth the convienence of not having to worry about what time the bus or train comes and it’s saving me time every day. Now I just need to stay alive…
